Dubai on the bus semis

Dubai celebrate

Sevens legend Waisale Serevi is J9’s player-coach and he believes winning is a perfect tribute to the man behind J9 Foundation, Joost Van der Westhuizen and New Zealand rugby legend Jonah Lomu who recently passed away.

Before the final matches were played out Serevi told the media:

Joost wants us to win. I had a message from the officials that Joost is not feeling well and this might be his last Christmas. Maybe he has until January or February and that is really sad, but he is a fighter and I was telling the boys we are playing for him.
